jebdunnuck.com, November 2021

Lastly, I was blown away by the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Apotres, which, had I looked at last year’s barrel sample, wouldn’t have been so surprising. An interesting blend of 38% Grenache followed by every variety out...

TheWineCellarInsider.com, January 2022

With strong floral notes to kick things off, the wine quickly moves to its core of earth, herbs, kirsch and black raspberries. Elegant, soft and silky, medium/full-bodied with a gorgeous sense of purity to its range of...

Vinous, October 2021

Vivid ruby-red. Suave, spice-accented aromas of black raspberry, cherry liqueur, garrigue and succulent flowers pick up a smoky mineral nuance in the glass. Concentrated yet lively red and dark berry liqueur and fruitcake...

jamessuckling.com, March 2022

Deep and spicy with tons of blackberries and elderberries, this is still very young with a stack of fine tannins and really needs some time to mellow and become a bit less nervous. However, the impressive concentration...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, May 2022

A hugely diverse mix of grape varieties—Grenache makes up the largest portion, at 38%, with none of the others (including multiple white varieties) accounting for more than 10%—macerated four months on skins in amphorae...

The Raymond Usseglio domaine is one of the top-producing estates in Chateauneuf du Pape. The estate was originally created by Francis Usseglio who moved to the Rhone from Italy in 1931 and started producing his own wine in 1948. He was succeeded in 1963 by his son Raymond Usseglio who enlarged the area, now bearing his own name, with the help of his mother Danielle.

In 1999, Raymond’s son Stephane took over the domaine and is in now in charge of its operations, cultivating 60 acres, 40 of which are in Chateauneuf du Pape, 12 in Cotes du Rhone, and 7 classified as IGP. The estate practices sustainable and biodynamic farming techniques.
