(91-93 points) Here the less expressive nose is not as spicy but actually more complex with its array of poached plum, black raspberry, smoke, earth and underbrush. The delicious, vibrant and beautifully delineated medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by bright acidity on the firm, serious and youthfully austere finish that is even firmer. This is a classic Bousselots that will require extended patience.

(91-93 points) The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Bousselots ler Cru has an enticing melange of red and black fruit, a touch of menthol in the background, focused and on the more opulent side. 92+ Monsieur Chevillon’s 2020 Bousselots is quite black fruity out of the blocks, with the nose delivering a blend of cassis, black plums, bitter chocolate, venison, dark soil tones, woodsmoke and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with lovely focus and balance, ripe, seamless tannins and a long, complex and still fairly primary finish.
