Domaine Tollot-Beaut et Fils Aloxe-Corton 2022 is a village-level red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune, made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in Aloxe-Corton at the foot of the Corton hill. The domaine is based in Chorey-lès-Beaune and has deep roots in the region, dating to the late 19th century; it was also among Burgundy’s early adopters of estate bottling, beginning in 1921. Today, the fifth generation (led by Nathalie Tollot) farms roughly 24–25 hectares across several Côte de Beaune villages, working sustainably under lutte raisonnée and harvesting by hand.

This Aloxe-Corton is sourced from four parcels on the lower slopes of the Corton massif, totaling about 2 hectares, with vines averaging around 45 years old. In keeping with the estate’s traditional approach, the Pinot Noir is fully destemmed and fermented in stainless steel before aging in French oak for an extended élevage (commonly cited around 16 months, with some notes indicating a higher-than-usual share of new oak in 2022).

In the glass, the 2022 shows the firmer, deeper side that Aloxe-Corton is known for, while staying polished. Wine Spectator awarded it an excellent 91 points, highlighting “saturated flavors of black cherry, blackberry and black currant,” and calling it a “succulent, spicy, mineral-tinged red.” The review also emphasizes its shape and follow-through: it is “balanced and firms up while expanding on the finish,” ending with “a mouthwatering impression” (Wine Spectator). That combination—ripeness up front, then a tightening frame—fits the appellation’s reputation for sturdy structure supported by limestone-rich soils.

Wine Spectator suggests a broad drinking window, recommending to “Drink now through 2032,” pointing to both early approachability and the capacity to develop further in bottle.
