92+ The 2024 Pinot Noir from the Drouhin family’s Roserock estate is a beautifully refined young wine. The bouquet is deep, precise and gently sappy, wafting from the glass in a very classy blend of black plums, black cherries, gamebird, sweet stem tones, a lovely base of soil, raw cocoa, a deft framing of cedary oak and a topnote of rose petals. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and nascently complex, with a sappy core of fruit, beautiful soil signature and grip, fine-grained tannins, a nice bounce of fresh acids and lovely length and grip on the seamlessly balanced finish. All this superb wine needs is enough time in the cellar to blossom.
