The 2024 Las Pizarras Chardonnay announces itself with a slowly unfurling, compelling bouquet defined by citrus and floral notes, wet stones and oceanic salinity, underscoring the generally understated, minimalist character that typically defines this wine. The texture is simultaneously tense, broad, dense and vibrant, effortlessly moving into a creamy, saline finish of remarkable persistence. While this is still quite buttoned-up at this early stage, the pedigree is unmistakable, and the genuinely effortless, graceful nature of the 2024 vintage makes this my favorite iteration of the wine I've tasted to date.- Matthew Luczy

The 2024 Chardonnay Las Pizarras from Quillota in Aconcagua Costa spent six months on its lees and 12 months in oak barrels. Fine and delicate, it opens with subtle floral notes, a hint of herbs, ginger, crisp apple and a trace of jasmine. On the palate, it is vibrant and dry, with marked acidity, a saline edge and a soft, talc-like texture. Layered and nuanced, it strikes a well-judged balance between oak, tension and a faintly creamy texture. This vintage suggests that Las Pizarras is finding a stylistic path where fruit and tension express the cool climate while measured aging delivers greater harmony.- Joaquín Hidalgo

Fine lees, oatmeal, lemons, yuzu and touches of minerals and cream on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied with a fresh, round center palate and a long, zesty finish. Quite well balanced. Drinkable now, but can hold for a few years.
