2013 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Gevrey Chambertin

On Sale $39.94 (reg. $59.94/Online Avg. $69)
This under-the-radar domaine "must possess one of the most enviable portfolios in the Cote de Nuits" writes Neal Martin or Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, and declares "this is an estate to watch."
The Cotes de Nuits turned out a "fascinating, intellectual vintage full of intrigue" in 2013 per the Wine Advocate, while Stephen Tanzer says the vintage "yielded many wonderfully vibrant, perfumed, transparent wines that should please lovers of classic Burgundy." Today we've got an outstanding example of the vintage, and a serious deal at that - the 2013 Gevrey from Drouhin-Laroze.
Bright and fresh, with racy acidity and minerality, this is the kind of wine that Burgundy enthusiasts should always have on hand – it works brilliantly with food (rather than overpowers it) but also drinks well on its own. However, there’s also enough weight here to remain a serious and structured wine. When done right, village level wines like this can easily reach 1er cru levels of quality minus the higher price tag - a huge win for Burgundy fans looking for some serious bang for the buck.
In stock and available for over 30% off and the best price of any vintage on the market, you'll want to get this one in quantity. While it easily has another decade of life ahead of it, it's so drinkable now, you'll have a hard time keeping it around that long! Cheers!
