Bright, light pink with a frothy mousse. Impressively complex nose displays spicy cherry, poach pear and baking spices. A sharply focused midweight, offering juicy red berry flavors and suave brown spice notes. Gains weight and sweetness with air, finishing with sexy suggestions of lees and Asian spice. (I also re-tasted the 1998 Brut and 1995 Cuvee des Enchanteleurs Brut and rated them 91 and 94 points, respectively. The Enchanteleurs has taken on more depth, with no loss of vivacity.)
