This beautiful Chardonnay from five top Grand Cru vineyards is textured with fruit that is still impressively perfumed. Its concentration has allowed it to remain perennially young. Although there are hints of toastiness...

Cool and a little inscrutable on release, but the composed and expected clarity of flavour is all there: green mandarin, dried apple, white peach and croissant dough, sitting tightly wrapped with a touch of iodine and...

In 1932, Pierre Taittinger, captivated by the Champagne region and by Chateau de la Marquetterie, developed a champagne business with his brother-in-law Paul Eveque. His son Francois took the torch 13 years later, making improvements to both the cellars and the vineyards. Step by step, he established the Taittinger brand as one of the great Champagne houses, known for its Chardonnay-dominant cuvees and in particular, the prestigious Comtes de Champagne.

Taittinger was sold to US investment group Starwood in 2005, but was bought back by the family a year later. Today, Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger has built a team to embark on a new adventure in the spirit of conquest and continuity, including the production of sparkling wine in the English region of Kent.

The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, Champagne Taittinger’s most rare and precious cuvee, was created as a tribute to the Counts (or “Comtes”) of Champagne who ruled over the Saint-Nicaise Abbey and to Thibauld IV in particular. The blend is derived solely from Chardonnay grapes from the highest ranked crus of the Cote des Blancs, the most prestigious source of Chardonnay in Champagne.

Produced only when the harvest is exceptional quality worthy of a vintage year, and only from the first press, Comtes de Champagne is a study in finesse. Since its first cuvee in 1952, just 30 vintages have been deemed worthy of bottling.

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare your palates for a truly exceptional champagne experience. Allow me to introduce the 2013 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, a wine that exudes elegance, finesse, and the unmistakable allure of the Champagne region in France.

In the glass, this delightful white sparkler displays a luminous, pale golden hue, reminiscent of the morning sun peeking through a cloudy sky. Its effervescence is mesmerizing, with a steady stream of tiny bubbles gracefully ascending to the surface, promising a delightful sensory journey.

On the nose, the 2013 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs captivates with a bouquet that is both delicate and complex. Notes of fresh white flowers and citrus blossoms intertwine with subtle hints of brioche, creating an olfactory symphony that is both enchanting and sophisticated.

As the wine caresses your tongue, it reveals a remarkable balance between richness and freshness. The palate is greeted by vibrant flavors of zesty lemon, crisp green apple, and juicy pear, all elegantly wrapped in a silky texture that glides effortlessly across the palate. The fine acidity provides a harmonious backbone, adding structure and ensuring a long, lingering finish.

Crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, this exceptional cuvée showcases the true essence of the varietal. The meticulous attention to detail and the expertise of the renowned Taittinger house shine through in every sip, leaving a lasting impression of refinement and luxury.

The 2013 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is a wine that deserves to be celebrated. Whether you're toasting a special occasion or simply indulging in life's pleasures, this champagne is a perfect companion. It is a testament to the artistry and dedication of the Taittinger family, and a true embodiment of the magic that can be found in a glass of Champagne.
