Piper-Heidsieck started out as a cloth and wine trading company Heidsieck & Co which was founded by Florens-Louis Heidsieck in 1785. His distinctive champagne’s reputation quickly spread and won favor at court.

The Piper-Heidsieck Maison owns precious wine-growing land from the Montagne de Reims to the Cote des Bar. The blend of its signature cuvee is 55 to 60% Pinot Noir for structure, 10 to 15% Chardonnay grapes which add elegant nuances, 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier which enhances fruitiness, and 10 to 15% reserve wines which provide consistency from year to year.

Vinification is done separately by variety and by vineyard in order to preserve their unique characters and offer maximum blending flexibility.

Introducing the exquisite 2014 Piper Heidsieck Brut Champagne, a true gem from the Champagne region of France. This Champagne blend, crafted with precision and finesse by Piper Heidsieck, showcases the unparalleled quality and elegance that this renowned producer is known for.

Emanating a classic white hue, this Champagne is visually captivating, inviting wine enthusiasts to indulge in its splendor. Its label is minimalistic, allowing the wine to take center stage and speak for itself. Encased within a cork closure, this wine preserves its integrity, ensuring that every sip is a moment to savor.

Upon first encounter, one is greeted with the enchanting aromas of dried apricots, walnuts, and seashells, creating a sensory journey unlike any other. As the wine unravels further, preserved lemons, raspberry tart, and frangipani dance on the nose, captivating the senses and setting the stage for an extraordinary tasting experience.

The palate is greeted with fine bubbles that caress the tongue, delivering succulent citrus and berry fruit flavors. A bright and silky texture envelops the mouth, creating a sensation of pure indulgence. This Champagne is a harmonious blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, where each varietal contributes its unique characteristics to create a seamless and refined taste profile.

Renowned wine critics have showered this vintage with accolades. James Suckling awards it an impressive 92 points, praising its vinous nature and succulent fruit. Wine Spectator bestows a score of 93, highlighting its creamy viscosity, subtle toasty notes, and mouthwatering finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate commends its structure, tension, and high acidity, projecting a promising aging potential. Decanter, in all its wisdom, grants it an outstanding score of 98, describing it as superb, resonant, and long. Jeb Dunnuck admires its freshness, approachability, and delightful flavors. Lastly, Wine Enthusiast finds this Champagne perfectly mature, with fresh fruits and harmonious minerality.

In conclusion, the 2014 Piper Heidsieck Brut Champagne is a masterpiece that combines elegance, complexity, and exceptional craftsmanship. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with gourmet cuisine, this Champagne promises to elevate any occasion and leave a lasting impression. Cheers to indulging in the epitome of Champagne brilliance!
