The strongest published appraisal comes from Vinous. Neal Martin rates it 95–97 points (excellent by any professional standard) and calls it “the most generous and opulent bouquet among Grivot’s range,” highlighting “vivacious red cherries, blueberry, violet and orange sorbet.” He finds a “medium-bodied” palate with “saturated tannins,” and describes a “voluminous and extravagant Les Suchots” that finishes with “layers of sorbet-fresh black fruit,” ending in what he calls a “thrilling crescendo.”

Decanter’s 94-point review broadly agrees on both ripeness and detail, describing “fairly forward, ripe red and black fruit, floral notes and a savoury edge.” The magazine emphasizes feel as much as flavor: “dense and velvety, with soft edges,” yet “not lacking in depth or grip,” suggesting a wine that can show well young while still rewarding time in bottle.

Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy) also lands at 94 points, noting a “fine rich mid purple,” an “attractive deep red fruit nose,” and “sweet strawberries on the palate.” He does flag “just a little heat,” with “some liquorice notes” and “fair persistence,” but overall the tasting notes point to a ripe, aromatic Suchots with polished texture and enough tannin to carry it forward.
