Plenty of berry and chocolate fruit with some subtle hazelnut and spice undertones. Dried flowers, too. Medium-bodied with a pretty core of fruit and a savory, succulent finish. Herbs with chocolate at the end. Solid center-palate. 80% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. Needs three or four years to mellow, but it’s already very attractive. Drink after 2027.

The Giusto Dei Notri cuvée is named for San Giusto, the patron saint of Suvereto, and Notri is the street where the winery is located. Made from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Giusto Dei Notri spent 18 months in French oak barrique. A youthful saturated red color, it has a fantastically detailed, fresh nose redcurrants, cedar, dusty earth, Mediterranean herbs, and fresh red flowers. Full-bodied, it has a refined and elegant structure, with well-defined tannins, even, ripe acidity, and a great finish that gently floats off the palate. It’s a very, very impressive, elegant wine in the range to drink over the coming 20 years.

Cracked black pepper and tart black fruit make for a nose that' fresh and cool. Blackberry preserves and dark chocolate enrich the palate that nonetheless stays incredibly fresh with wild mint, wild fennel, crushed rocks, saline, and minerals. Beautifully executed. — Danielle Callegari

This Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant red has a production of 35,000 bottles a year. The 2022 is earthy, spicy and bold: black fruits are framed by a waft of Cabernet Franc herbal character, with chocolate and wood in the background. Fleshy and creamy, with round tannins and bright acidity, it develops some saline and ferrous complexity with time in the glass, along with some lovely red fruit notes.

This is a blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller parts Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The Tua Rita 2022 Giusto di Notri reveals an especially creamy and rounded texture that adds to a lovely and long-lasting mouthfeel. There is nothing heavy about the wine, and indeed, this vintage actually feels more streamlined and even a tad shorter compared to other hot-vintage releases of the past. The wine's appearance is inky dark, and the bouquet shows layers of dark fruit, blackberry, spice and sweet earth.- Monica Larner

The 2022 Giusto di Notri is a total extrovert. Super-ripe red cherry, plum, blood orange, cedar and pipe tobacco all race across the palate. The 2022 can be enjoyed now, but it will be better in a few years' time once some of the baby fat melts away.- Antonio Galloni
