The 2024 Las Pizarras Pinot Noir opens with a distinctly herbal bouquet before morphing into the floral and oceanic register that typically defines this wine. After time in the glass, the fruit clarity takes over: red and blue fruits captured at perfect ripeness, rendered with striking purity and with visceral detail. The palate is silky and gently saturated, leading to an understated, chalky finish that showcases the delicate and focused nature the 2024 vintage tends to impart. As with the Las Pizarras Chardonnay and Syrah bottlings, this is my favorite iteration of the wine I've tasted to date, and it should drink beautifully well into its second decade.- Matthew Luczy

The 2024 Pinot Noir Las Pizarras from Quillota in Aconcagua Costa was aged 12 months in 400-liter French oak barrels, 50% new, 15% second-use, and 35% third- and fourth-use. Winemaking has evolved from open fermentations with stems to a slower, cooler, fully destemmed approach. The wine offers aromas of rosehip, fresh roses, cherry and violets in layered detail. Oak plays only a minor role. Pure, primary and precise, it is dry, with a silky texture, faint talc-like grip and a vibrant varietal finish.- Joaquín Hidalgo

Very ripe, floral and fruit-expressive, with lovely aromas of roses. sweet currants, red berries and rose hips. Medium-bodied with good fruit and fine, round tannins. Long, juicy and round, with easy potpourri notes and so much fruit. Well made. Drink or hold.

Alluring for its fragrant entry of dried rose petal and guava, melding with wild strawberry and murtilla flavors on a silky frame, with delicately sculpted tannins that linger, adding a note of spice-studded blood orange and sneaky richness at the end.
