(97-99 points) The 2025 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc gets my vote for the white wine of the vintage. Rich and powerful in the glass, but also beautifully vibrant, the 2025 dazzles from start to finish. Lemon confit, pear, slate, mint, white flowers and tangerine peel are some of the many aromas and flavors that develop over time. The 2025 is quite simply stunning. Don't miss it! - Antonio Galloni

(96-98 points) (Pessac-Léognan; 75% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Sémillon; 13.5% ABV; tasted three times, the final time at the UGCB tasting at the Cité du Vin). So true to its identity that this would – or at least should – be an easy pick in a blind tasting (easier said than done I know). I love the apple skin crispness of this. Crunchy is the word; the more onomatopoeic 'croquant' even better. Bright, but rich, relaxed, authoritative and elqouent, this is fabulous. The spice is gentle but brings additional detail and interest, while never drawing attention away from the glorious florality and zestiness of the fruit. Racy and vibrant, fresh and explosively sapid in the mid-palate before the rapier-like precision of the sculpted finish. There's great purity here and this seems to transcend the vintage. 96-98

The cooler microclimate at this estate favours hot and dry weather, and this proved no exception in 2025. I tasted this wine no less than five times at different locations (négociant Joanne, CVGB, Pessac–Léognan group tasting, at the estate, too), always enjoying the exciting combination of freshness and white stone fruit fleshiness expressed in a suave palate texture with nuance and refinement, evoking Meursault–like depth and opulence. 'We picked later, including after the rains of late August, to get more breadth in the palate,' remarked owner Olivier Bernard. That – and a long finish. A great success!

The perfume bursts with honeysuckle, white flowers, white peaches, spice box, Meyer lemons, and Granny Smith apples. The palate pops with its layers of sweet, round, fresh, juicy citrus and white peaches that start off strong and keep on going with a shot of mineral essences on the backend of the finish that adds to the complexity. (94-97+ points) Well defined nose of nuts and powerful, intense fruit. Full-bodied and elegant with a strong acidic and fine backbone, this is a serious white wine that would need 4-5 years in the cellar. It has a fine taste of crunchy sauvignon blanc and is very elegant and long. Domaine de Chevalier normally benefits from a little bottle age and I would not be surprised to see this receiving an even higher rating in the future.

(95-97 points) The 2025 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc soars from the glass with vibrant notes of grapefruit essence, Granny Smith apples, and passion fruit, leading to a fragrant undercurrent of honeysuckle, lime blossoms, and sea spray. The medium-bodied palate is intense with citrus and tropical fruit layers with a refreshing line and chalky texture, finishing with great length and energy. The blend is 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon. The alcohol is 13.5% with a pH of 3.29.

(95-97 points) This presents ripe Sauvignon aromatics on the nose, with a little greengage and gooseberry freshness, dusted with fresh powdered chalk and lemon peel, the whole just bursting with mineral energy. The palate majors on tension and frame rather than seduction, with beautifully formed and textured fruit, set within an upright structure. There are little citrus and melon nuances creeping in, but it is the charged, grippy, acid-fresh finish and length which impresses most, as it has super drive, harmony and length, finishing long, pithy, framed and delicately bitter. A delicious white grand vin with excellent potential. Tasted three times. It is a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon, picked at a yield of 38 hl/ha, and the alcohol is reported to be 13%. 95-97/100

(94-96 points) A terrific, serious white from this reference point estate outside of Léognan, the 2025 Domaine De Chevalier Blanc reveals orchard fruits, spice, and crushed stone on the nose. It's rich and medium to full-bodied on the palate, with nicely integrated acidity, ample mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It's going to need just a few years of bottle age to come together.

Straight from the first nose this is clearly one of the whites of the vintage. The most beautifully flinty and sculpted citrus and pear. Harvest August 25 to September 6. 33% new oak. In organic conversion. It's now been a decade of vineyard work to ensure that the white grapes are in the coolest part of the estate, and ageing takes place in a variety of differently sized barrels, with plenty of lees work that changes every year - so in 2024 they stirred through the December, this year only October because the richness was already there. In a word, they know what they are doing and you can rest easy.

(93-95 points) The Domaine de Chevalier 2025 Blanc reveals an expressive bouquet of white fruits—pear and white peach—alongside floral notes. Medium- to full-bodied, it’s dense yet remarkably fresh and precise, with a crystalline, ethereal profile. Both aromatic and concentrated, it combines depth with clarity, concluding with a long, ethereal and perfumed finish. Once again, this is a fine success and surely one of the most precise white wines produced in Bordeaux this year.
