In 1932, Pierre Taittinger, captivated by the Champagne region and by Chateau de la Marquetterie, developed a champagne business with his brother-in-law Paul Eveque. His son Francois took the torch 13 years later, making improvements to both the cellars and the vineyards. Step by step, he established the Taittinger brand as one of the great Champagne houses, known for its Chardonnay-dominant cuvees and in particular, the prestigious Comtes de Champagne.

Taittinger was sold to US investment group Starwood in 2005, but was bought back by the family a year later. Today, Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger has built a team to embark on a new adventure in the spirit of conquest and continuity, including the production of sparkling wine in the English region of Kent.

The 2015 Taittinger Brut Millesime is a captivating Champagne blend that showcases the exceptional quality of the vintage. With its elegant white color, this wine exudes sophistication and refinement. Produced by the renowned Taittinger winery in the Champagne region of France, it is a testament to their commitment to crafting exceptional wines.

Upon pouring, the wine reveals a tight bead of bubbles, a sign of its outstanding quality. The nose is greeted with invigorating aromas of chalk, almond croissants, lemon curd, and biscuits. These enticing scents create a sensory experience that is both vibrant and alluring.

On the palate, the Taittinger Brut Millesime impresses with its focused and linear character. The taste of ripe peach, rose petal, and yellow flowers come to the forefront, accompanied by the delicate flavors of Anjou pear. This wine showcases the perfect balance between fruitiness and floral notes, creating a harmonious and layered taste profile.

Made from a blend of 50% pinot noir and 50% chardonnay, with 70% Grands Crus and 30% Premiers Crus, this wine exemplifies the artistry and craftsmanship of Taittinger. It has a rich texture and a more viscous feel, providing a luxurious mouthfeel that lingers on the palate.

The 2015 Taittinger Brut Millesime is a wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for further development. It has already garnered high praise from esteemed wine critics. James Suckling awarded it a score of 93, noting its bright and persistent pastry notes. Wine Spectator also bestowed a score of 93, praising its vibrant and harmonious nature. Jeb Dunnuck commended its fragrant nose, rich texture, and long finish, further solidifying its exceptional quality.

With only 500 cases imported, this limited-edition wine is a true gem for Champagne enthusiasts. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in the finest wines, the 2015 Taittinger Brut Millesime is a remarkable choice that will leave a lasting impression.
