Critics largely agree that 2020 emphasizes freshness and structure over sheer weight. Monica Larner, writing in *Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate* (92), calls it “taut and tight,” highlighting “tart cherry and wild berry” alongside “bay leaf, spice… pressed lavender buds” and “a hint of black olive.” James Suckling (92) similarly notes “nice freshness on the palate with plums and berries and citrusy acidity,” describing it as “medium-bodied with fine tannins and a powdery texture,” with “hints of mushrooms,” and adding, “You can enjoy this young, but it will age nicely, too.”

Antonio Galloni for *Vinous* (92) delivers one of the strongest qualitative endorsements, calling the wine “gorgeous” and “classy,” and praising its “energy and drive.” He points to “sweet red cherry, plum, mint, rose petal, cedar and pipe tobacco,” framing it as a “super-attractive, mid-weight offering” and “a fine relative value in Bolgheri’s high-rent district.”

*Wine Spectator* (90) lands a notch lower but remains positive, describing “a lively, fluid red” with “cherry, black currant, cedar, iron and spice,” “taut and balanced,” though with “a slightly reserved finish today.” The magazine reports 17,500 cases made and 5,000 imported, and recommends drinking “now through 2028.”

Among the most notable reviews is *Decanter*’s 93, praising “intensity, tightness and concentration,” with “fine-grained tannins” and the conclusion that it “ages well.”
