Wine Enthusiast, December 2020

Produced from the grapes grown in the Côte des Blancs, this beautiful Champagne is crisp and mineral, with a great texture and acidity. It has elegance and style as well. It is a finely balanced wine that is ready to drink.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, September 2020

Based on the 2014 vintage, supplemented by some 30% of reserve wines, Billecart's newly released NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru offers up a classic bouquet of freshly baked bread, crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil and...

Wine Spectator, November 2015

A hint of salinity underscores the flavors of poached pear, marzipan, spiced plum and kumquat in this elegant blanc de blancs. Vibrant acidity drives this to a lasting, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2020.

Wine Spectator, November 2019

Pretty floral and spice accents play on the ripe Honeycrisp apple, pickled ginger and hazelnut flavors of this mouthwatering Champagne, with a fine, lacy mousse. Layered and creamy, showing good focus through to the...

Wine Spectator, December 2020

Rapierlike acidity defines this lip-smacking version, with rich notes of grilled nut, melon and apricot fruit, grated ginger and lemon curd gaining momentum. It's sleek and racy, with a lively mousse and a long...

Decanter, June 2019

Bold and robust, with attractive mineral, yeast and bready aromas. Showing some leesy evolution, a refined and rather lovely wine.

Champagne Billecart-Salmon is an independent and family-owned champagne house situated in the charming village of Mareuil-sur-Ay in the heart of Champagne. It was founded in 1818 after the marriage of Nicolas Francois Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon.

Since then, for almost 200 years, every member of the Billecart family has continued to stand by their oath of giving priority to quality and striving for excellence. Today, the 6th generation is represented by Francois and Antoine Roland-Billecart, who lead this independent house with the support of their father, Jean Roland-Billecart. The firm owns 74 acres of its own vines and purchases grapes from growers comprising another 346 acres. Ninety percent of the fruit for Billecart comes from 40 crus within a 20-mile radius of Epernay.

The Billecart portfolio includes the Brut Reserve, Brut Rose, Extra Brut, Demi-Sec, Brut Sous Bois, Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru, Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart, and the ultimate expression for the House, the vintage Le Clos Saint Hilaire, a blanc de noirs Champagne sourced from a tiny plot planted in 1964.

The winery employs sustainable viticulture practices, without the use of pesticides and herbicides, and the wines are aged in oak in Billecart's limestone cellars.
