The House of Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by Andre Michel Pierlot, a negociant in the wines of Champagne. His son Alphonse Pierlot, not having any heirs, subsequently bequeathed the House to his cellar master, Eugene Laurent.

Following his death in 1887, Eugene’s widow, Mathilde Emilie Perrier, took the helm of the business and combined her own name with that of her husband, naming the business “Veuve Laurent-Perrier”. Eugenie-Hortense Laurent succeeded her mother in 1925. Hard-hit by the economic crisis between the wars and heavily in debt, she sold the estate to Marie-Louise de Nonancourt in 1939.

Bernard de Nonancourt dedicated his life to a single passion: Laurent-Perrier. His courage, convictions and energy transformed a small Champagne House purchased by his mother in 1939 into a global brand. Keen on innovation, strongly attached to champagne traditions and to quality, he forged the commercial culture of Laurent-Perrier and created a renowned brand with a range of unique champagnes.

Up until his death on 29 October 2010, he made his vibrant stamp on the House of Laurent-Perrier, which will remain forever. The continued success of Laurent-Perrier is now overseen by his two daughters, Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt and Stephanie Meneux de Nonancourt. They offer a full range of Champagnes, from Ultra-Brut to Demi-Sec, the vintage-dated Brut Millesime and Alexandra Rose, and their tete-de-cuvee, Grand Siecle.

This exquisite wine, the 9998 Laurent-Perrier Champagne Brut La Cuvee, is a true masterpiece hailing from the renowned Champagne region of France. With its elegant white color and a cork closure, it sets the stage for an extraordinary tasting experience.

Crafted by the esteemed producer Laurent-Perrier, this Champagne blend showcases the expertise and finesse that this house is known for. The wine boasts a respectable alcohol percentage of 12.0, which perfectly complements its delicate flavors and aromas.

Upon pouring, you'll be captivated by the fine, lacy mousse that dances in the glass, creating an enchanting visual display. The effervescence is a testament to the meticulous aging process this cuvée has undergone before its release. It is a nonvintage wine, ensuring consistency in quality year after year.

As you bring the glass to your lips, the wine reveals its complex and enticing bouquet. The aromas of brioche, cooked apple, and cream fill the air, inviting you to indulge in its richness. On the palate, the flavors unfold with intensity and depth. You'll savor notes of ripe fruits, such as apricot and sweet orchard fruits, complemented by hints of toasted almond and a subtle smokiness that lingers on the finish.

The Laurent-Perrier Champagne Brut La Cuvee has received high praise from esteemed critics. Wine Enthusiast awarded it a score of 91, noting its dryness and the richness that comes from its extended aging. Wine Spectator also recognized its crispness and the finely meshed range of flavors, giving it a score of 91 as well. James Suckling, with his discerning palate, awarded this wine an impressive 93 points, highlighting its full-bodied nature and the vivid, bread-dough finish. Jeb Dunnuck, another respected critic, echoed the sentiment with a score of 91, emphasizing the floral aromas, fresh apricot flavors, and approachable palate.

This extraordinary Champagne is a perfect choice for any celebratory occasion or a moment of indulgence. Whether you choose to enjoy it now or cellar it for up to 10 years, the 9998 Laurent-Perrier Champagne Brut La Cuvee promises to be an unforgettable experience.
